on the home tab there is a brush to the far left. with what you want to use as the format selected, click it and select what you want to paint by clicking and dragging. hope that answers your question in a way that makes sense.

I’ll give you the steps in order I’ve found helpful:

1. Open excel

2. Click on the home tab

3. Under the home tab, you’ll find many selections. Click on the little paint brush that’s in the top corner.

4. Select what you wish to paint.
